Dynasties. Using 'Qin, Han, or Zhou?', place each characteristic in the correct column.

Topic: Ancient China - Geography
I Can: Identify the natural geographical features of Ancient China and explain their importance to the
development of civilization there.
Warm-up: Students read the 'Ancient Chinese Civilization Brief'. Whole class discussion.
Classwork: 1) Watch the first 2 minutes, 38 seconds of the 'Ancient Chinese Civilization Explained'
video clip. Be sure to stop at the correct spot.
2) Students view the 'Geography of China' video clip. As you view these two videos fill in your copy of 'Geography of China Video Follow Along'.
3) Then, students label their copy of the 'Southeast Asia outline map'. Use knowledge gained in
the videos, but you could also Google images of: China physical features map.
4) Students Turn and Talk to partner about how China's physical features compare to the other
civilizations that we have studied.
Homework: 1) Finish all old work - old work due by Wednesday the 17th of this week!
2) Complete the two worksheets if not finished in class - Due next class.

on the link for your appropriate class below. This link should take you directly to
your class and then click on the assigned DBQ.
3) Navigate the DBQ by using the Gray Toolbar, above the Black Bar. The word 'Cover'
is the table of contents. Work through all of the pages assigned.

For those students who choose to stay behind, using your Chromebook, research Buddhism. Write a one page report on when, where, and how Buddhism started, and also describe some of their basic beliefs. Report on where in the world it is a dominate religion as well.
